Tree Lighting Ceremony

Description

The Holiday season in Mason will officially kick off on Friday, December 4th at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Downtown Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Festivities will include an iceless skating rink, photos with Santa, live holiday music by Santa’s Goody Bag Band, a gingerbread playhouse, grinch inflatable, fire pits, food vendors, adult beverages provided by the American Legion as well as the official lighting of the Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m. Santa will make a special entrance as he is escorted by a holiday caravan traveling from East Main Street to the Downtown Plaza, marking his grand arrival in Mason. He is expected to arrive at the Plaza at approximately 6:30 p.m. as the official lighting of the tree takes place. Following the city’s ceremony, the Mason Arts Council will host Santa’s Christmas Corner inside the Royal Theater.

This warm, indoor experience offers families the chance to meet Santa and his elves, take photos, and enjoy complimentary cookies, hot cocoa, and live carolers. The space will be decorated with a Christmas tree, wrapped presents, and festive holiday décor to create a traditional, family-friendly atmosphere.
