Description
Countryside YMCA wants you to aim for a win and play in our charity basketball tournament and 3-Point Shooting Contest, presented by LCNB. Our 11th annual charity 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament and 3-Point Shooting Contest has been scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2020.
There will be separate 3 v 3 tournaments for male and female players. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners of the tournament and the age division winners of 3-point shooting contest. Registration is now open for all tournaments and 3-Point Shooting contest.
Tournament games will run with a 30 minute time limit or to 15 points, scoring by 1 and 2 points. Players can participate in both the tournament and the 3-Point contest, if they would like to participate in both. The 3-point contest will run from 11am-1pm and will not interrupt tournament play. Participants can also just compete in the 3-Point Shooting contest, if they are not interested in tournament play.
We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety and health of all participants and spectators involved. If holding the event is prohibited by the governor's guidelines or health orders on the day of the event, a full refund will be provided.
Tournament Health and Safety Guidelines:
- Any player or spectator exhibiting symptoms of COVID should stay home.
- Players and coaches temperatures will be taken before the start of play.
- Spectators will need to remain outside of the fenced in court area. Please wear masks and social distance from others to help prevent the spread of virus.
- Basketballs will be disinfected immediately after each use. Only balls provided by the Y will be used in games and 3 point competition.
- Only one coach per team will be permitted inside the fenced in court.
- Players must bring their own refreshments. Water and other refreshments will not be provided as in years past.
- Oxivir will be used to disinfect balls and all other touch surfaces within the fenced in area throughout the tournament.
- There will be one entry and one exit from the courts.
- Players will be required to social distance from other teams when not competing.
- Premier Health Athletic Trainer will be onsite for the duration of the event.
