Our mission at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is to protect Ohio's workers and employers through prevention and care – helping employers prevent workplace incidents and providing the best care to return injured workers to get them back on the job when injuries do occur.
BWC has made great progress in better fulfilling this mission while emphasizing fiscal responsibility and reducing average rates for employers across the state. In fact, careful management of BWC investments allowed for the return of $1 billion in rebates to more than 200,000 Ohio private and public employer taxing districts.
