The Mason Deerfield Chamber proudly celebrated the 2025 Gems of Excellence Annual Awards Night, held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Manor House Event Center in Mason, Ohio. This year’s event not only spotlighted outstanding individuals and organizations who elevated the Mason-Deerfield region — it also marked the 10-year anniversary of the Chamber’s rebrand to the Mason Deerfield Chamber.

This year’s Gems of Excellence Award recipients include:

  • 2025 Ambassador of the Year – Dynette Clark, Building Blocks for Kids
  • 2025 Non-Profit of the Year – The Live Like Maya Foundation
  • 2025 Excellence in Education – Jill Buffenbarger, Warren Co. Educational Service Center
  • 2025 Garnet – Rick Boyle, Creative Contracting, Inc.
  • 2025 Pink Diamond – Sarah Brown, Mason Public Library
  • 2025 Happiest Hour – Great Wolf Lodge
  • 2025 MADE Business of the Year – VEGA Americas
  • 2025 People’s Choice Award – Shine Like Sable Foundation
  • 2025 Esprit de Corps – Randy Kuvin, Flagel Huber Flagel
The Chamber also recognized the 2025 Make the Mile Brick Award Honorees, who were celebrated earlier this summer for their role in shaping the future of the Mason Mile.

This year’s Make the Mile Brick Award honorees include:
  • 2025 Partner of the Year – City of Mason
  • 2025 New Feature of the Year – Santa’s Jingle Bell Caravan
  • 2025 Event of the Year – East Main Music Fest
  • 2025 Supporter of the Year – Rick Boyle
  • 2025 Volunteers of the Year – Chris and Lisa Heim
Gems of Excellence serves as an opportunity to honor those who have made significant contributions that enhance the quality of life and continue to make the Mason-Deerfield region a better place to live, work, play and thrive. Named for the concept that members are “gems” in the business community — valuable, admired for excellence, and prized for their impact — this year’s celebration was themed around the amethyst, symbolizing courage, stability and intuition, all of which were exemplified by the finalists and award winners.
