Mark your calendars for the annual Heritage Festival and Parade taking place on Saturday, September 15 at the Mason Municipal Center Campus! The event will feature kids’ activities, carnival games, crafts, vendors, music entertainment and more! The event will begin at 10 a.m. with the annual parade followed by activities and entertainment until 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and is sure to include fun for all ages!
The annual Heritage Festival Parade will kick off the day’s activities beginning at 10 a.m. near the downtown plaza on US Route 42. The parade will head east on US Route 42 and continue south on Mason Montgomery Road towards the Mason Municipal Center. Guests are encouraged to watch the parade near the Mason Municipal Center to enjoy short performances by parade participants!

ROAD CLOSURES
Beginning at 6:30 a.m. U.S. 42/Reading Road and Main Street from Fifth Avenue to Mason Montgomery Road will be closed due to parade staging and assembly. Mason Montgomery Road from Main Street to Lakeside Drive will be closed beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the duration of the parade. The road will reopen at the conclusion of the parade which is anticipated to occur around 11:30 a.m. Detour signs will be posted prior to the parade. The Mason Municipal Campus can be accessed from Nixon Park Drive during this time.
EVENT INFORMATION AND ACTIVITIES
The annual Heritage Festival will begin at 11 a.m. on the Mason Municipal Campus immediately following the parade. Food vendors and kids activities will be open throughout the day until 4 p.m. The community is encouraged to come out and enjoy various local food vendors and exhibitors while enjoying live music beginning at noon!

This year the City of Mason is partnering with Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America to host the Rev It Up 5K race in conjunction with the annual Heritage Festival and Parade! The 5k race will take place throughout Mason’s Corwin M. Nixon Park and Pine Hill Lakes Park prior to the parade. The race will begin at Corwin M. Nixon Park near the Lou Eves Municipal Pool at 8:30 a.m. A portion of the race proceeds benefit the Mason Parks and Recreation Foundation’s goal of building the all-inclusive Common Ground Playground here in the Mason Community.
