Visit the Fed!
Spend a morning talking about how to better teach about money, the banking system, and financial decision-making. LaVaughn Henry, vice president and senior regional officer of the Cincinnati Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and a Harvard-trained Ph.D. economist will share his ideas on teaching about the banking system. Exemplary financial education lessons from materials produced by the Council for Education and State Farm will be shared.
You may even win a big stack of $100 bills - not really!
This is an academic course for teachers, which helps them to integrate economics and finance with the Ohio Common Core while allowing them to earn credit hours to fulfill their ongoing education requirements.
Free teaching materials will be provided, along with morning refreshments.
