Fraudsters are the masters of persuasion, tailoring their pitches to match the psychological profiles of their targets. Once they know which buttons to push, they'll bombard you with a flurry of influence tactics, which can leave even the savviest person in a haze. This workshop will uncover the persuasion tactics that fraudsters use to defraud their victims and the basic tools investors can use to defend against fraud.
BBB Smart Investing is a consumer education program created to provide investors with the necessary tools and resources to make informed decisions and avoid scams.
We will give you an overview about how you might be targeted by fraudsters, what kinds of despicable situations lurk in the marketplace and what you can do to avoid falling prey to an investment scam.
