Cincinnati history up close!
We will be spending the afternoon at the Cincinnati Museum Center's Geier Collections and Research Center. This one-day professional development program focuses on Cincinnati history and economy and is part of a series offered to teachers at wonderful local facilities in Cincinnati, our "Treasures." Teachers will be able to listen to one of the museum's reputed archivists and participate in the Walking City program (what it would've been like to walk the streets of Cincinnati at its infancy as a city). Excellent activities, teaching materials and instructional resources for field trips or in-class instruction will connect to social studies, language arts, and mathematics. Recommended for all grade K-8 educators.
Discover the Treasures is a series of academic courses for teachers that helps them integrate economics and finance with the Ohio Common Core while allowing them to earn credit hours to fulfill their ongoing education requirements.
