Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is a consultative position responsible for establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships in a four county area (Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren) in order to identify workforce training and development needs and propose tailored learning solutions.
 
This role drives revenue growth through new and existing client development, participates in the budgeting and revenue goal-setting process. The Business Development Manager collaborates with the senior staff of the Mason Campus and has the authority to make decisions to represent the Workforce Development department effectively in order to achieve the most efficient use of the college premises, equipment and materials.

This is a salaried position with an annual revenue target. Salary range for this position is $65,147 – $86,862.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Build Sinclair Workforce Development awareness, market position and revenue growth by developing, defining, negotiating and closing business opportunities
  • Develop a strategic sales strategy and implementation process to achieve revenue and profit margin goals of the workforce development division set forth for the Mason operation
 
  • Assist practice leads in growing / retaining vendors and facilitators in order to propose new solutions and services to clients
  • Work closely with other workforce staff to leverage existing divisional capabilities to meet employer needs
  • Serve as the key Workforce Development Representative at the Mason Campus
  • Work closely with the senior staff of the Mason Campus in having the authority to make decisions regarding coordination of activities, initiatives and use of equipment / room space.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s level degree required, MBA degree preferred
  • Strong business acumen with a minimum of 2 years work experience with business development and/or client relationship management experience required
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral) with ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals required
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships required
  • Demonstrated successful client management skills required
  • Previous budget management work experience required
  • Strong team orientation skills required
  • Current working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook required
  • Current working knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred
  • Established relationships in the Warren County and northern Cincinnati business communities, preferred
