SUMMARY:Meet the Candidates Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Mason-Deerfield Chamber will host a "Meet the Candidates" forum in partnership with Cox Media Group Ohio for those seeking election to Mason City Council and the Deerfield Township Board of Trustees.\n\n\n\nCandidates will field four to six questions selected by the Chamber's Government Affairs Executive Council with opportunity for rebuttal comments. Those questions\, posed by Moderator Jennifer Burcham of Cox Media Group Ohio\, are expected to address a wide variety of topics including the relationship between the city and the township\, financial health\, community development\, revenue\, real estate holdings\, parks and recreation\, and term limits. "We see this forum as an excellent (and rare) opportunity for voters to hear directly from local candidates on the issues most important to them\, as well as providing an opportunity for the candidates to lay out their plans for the future of Mason and Deerfield\," stated Randy Kuvin\, Chairman of the Government Affairs Executive Council.\n\n\n\nCandidates' introductory remarks are limited to two minutes and responses to questions are limited to 90 seconds\, with a 30-second rebuttal. Closing statements will be limited to one minute.\n\n\n\n\n\nICRC will broadcast the candidates night after it is recorded on local television for Mason residents\, and a link to the recording will be provided on the Chamber's website at www.madechamber.org.
