DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, December 7 join the community in celebrating the beginning of the Christmas in Mason season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Mason's Downtown Plaza. This event is free and open to the public to enjoy!\n\n\n\nPrior to the activities beginning on the plaza\, join the Mason Public Library at 6 p.m. for Holiday Storytime! Children and adults of all ages are welcome to join the Library in a story time sing along to all the Holiday classics such as Frosty the Snowman\, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and more! Registration is not required\, and participation is free.\n\nThe Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason Downtown Plaza! Join your neighbors for Holiday music\, activities and crafts\, FREE photos with Santa\, food and refreshments\, adult beverages provided by the American Legion\, ice-less skating\, trackless train rides\, a live nativity\, and best of all the official lighting of the Christmas tree!\n\n\n\nThe Tree Lighting Ceremony is also the kickoff to the newly established Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area in Downtown Mason. Stop in to your favorite serving establishment in the DORA district to enjoy an adult beverage then head to the Downtown Plaza for Holiday fun! Detours will be provided. Please use caution and allow for additional time when traveling through this area.
