DESCRIPTION:The City of Mason is honoring the life and legacy of Noah Lippeatt   a remarkable young man who left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Noah was a proud graduate of Mason High School Class of 2021 and in 2023\, Noah answered the call to service by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. He approached life from his differences\; giving him the power\, compassion and resilience to not only become a Marine but to be selected to serve with Marine Barracks 8th and I Washington DC Guard Company as Lance Corporal. Sadly\, Noah passed away from a tragic accident in June 2024.\n\n\n\nNoah lived by the motto "I'm Built Different." To him\, these words weren't just a phrase\, they were a way of life. Noah faced life's challenges by staying true to himself and uplifting those around him with an outward smile\, sense of humor or small act of kindness. The stories of Noah's life teach us to embrace what makes us unique\, respect perspectives\, build empathy and compassion and challenge us to grow beyond our comfort zone.\n\n\n\nIn 2025\, in memory of Noah Lippeatt and in celebration of his values\, the City of Mason introduced Built Like Noah L. Day taking place the fourth Friday in October\, in alignment with Make a Difference Day. Built Like Noah L. Day Community Food Drive As part of this year's Built Like Noah L. Day initiative\, the City of Mason is partnering with the Noah Lippeatt Foundation to host a community food drive to support the Mason Food Pantry.\n\n\n\nCommunity members are encouraged to come together to help fight food insecurity throughout the Mason community by donating food\, hygiene or personal care items. Click here to view the items listed as most in need by the Mason Food Pantry. Donation barrels will be available at Mason Community Center beginning Sunday\, October 18 through Friday\, October 23 for community members to drop off donations to support the Mason Food Pantry. The Mason Community Center is located at 6050 Mason Montgomery Road. The Mason Food Pantry also accepts donations every Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Mason Food Pantry is located at 406 4th Avenue in Mason.\n\n\n\nBuilt Like Noah L. Day Online Auction In honor of Built Like Noah L. Day\, the City of Mason is partnering with the Noah Lippeatt Foundation to promote an online auction. Proceeds raised as part of the auction will benefit the Foundation's mission of supporting military members in need as well as the Mason Food Pantry. The online auction will be available for bidding beginning Sunday\, October 18 through Friday\, October 23. Auction items will be available for viewing by clicking here or by stopping by the Mason Community Center from October 18   23 where visuals of items will be available as well as opportunities to submit a bid. Day Service Opportunities\n\n\n\nLet's come together as a community to honor the life and legacy of Noah Lippeatt by participating in a community service project throughout the weekend of October 23 through October 25. The City of Mason and the Noah Lippeatt Foundation are partnering with local organizations to promote opportunities for community members to dedicate their time to give back to the community.\n\n\n\nBelow are the various opportunities available for community members to participate in local service projects that aim spread compassion and community kindness. Friday\, October 23   Family Promise of Warren County: Family Promise of Warren County is recruiting volunteers to assist in organizing their Heaven and Hearth Furniture Ministry that is used to furnish families transitioning from homelessness to independent living. o Date: Friday\, October 23\, 2026 o Time: 9 a.m.   12 p.m. o Location: Heaven & Hearth Furniture Ministry\, 15 North East Street\, Lebanon OH\, 45036 o Number of Volunteers Needed: 15   20 o Restrictions: Individuals ages 12+.
